What would the ideal landscaping company offer as far as services?

What service would you want most out of a landscaping company. This is a year round business, grass in the summer, planting in the spring, clearing and cleaning in the fall.

Always remember you are a service provider and as such the more services you provide -or- can confidently refer to your clients the better you’ll be.
It sounds like you’ve got the basic services covered so you need to look at what marketing people often call “adjacent markets”. All an adjacent market is is something that compliments the service you currently provide.
Do you have a client with lousy soil? Offer soil testing.
Do you have a client with poor irrigation? Offer to install a sprinkler system
Do you have a client that’s looking for a stone patio? Offer to install or refer someone
Do you have a client that wants to start a vegetable garden? Offer roto-tilling services
The above are all examples of services that compliment landscaping (there are a ton more that I’m sure you can think of) the key to them are that you should position yourself that you can either offer the service yourself or establish a relationship with other local businesses that can.
You can’t expect to be all things to all people so use your business contacts in the industry to develop a good network of businesses that you can refer folks to. Make sure you enlist these other businesses so they do the same for you.
A lot of businesses will also enter into referral arrangements where they will pay a % for the job referral. The more you can do for your customers the more they’ll sing your praises and the more your phone will ring with new customers on the line.
Good luck.
